MYMIC LLC selected for Joint Staff Support Re-compete Contract potentially valued at $8.9 Million
In March 2011, MYMIC became the prime contractor within the Joint Chiefs of Staff Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Directorate (J8) and won its re-compete in February 2014 to continue providing innovative systems/software engineering solutions, systems certification & accreditation best practices, rapid business process modeling implementations, and Global Force Management (GFM) expertise. MYMIC develops and maintains a heterogeneous mix of networked hardware platforms and software applications operated at Top Secret Collateral level. MYMIC also develops automated tools, conduct data quality reviews and analysis, and provides enterprise-wide GFM systems integration required to satisfy J8’s capability development/assessment needs.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) consists of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), the Vice Chairman, the Chief of Staff of the Army, the Chief of Naval Operations, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and the Commandant of the Marine Corps. The Joint Staff (JS) supports the CJCS in executing his Title X duties to assist the President and Secretary of Defense in providing for the strategic direction, strategic planning, contingency planning and preparedness of the Armed Forces. In support of the CJCS’ duties, J8 conducts studies and assessments to ensure the CJCS receives and provides the best military advice on Departmental Force Structure and Resource issues. Additionally, unique information technology system development and support is required to document Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) planning and decisions to support the CJCS’ Title 10, USC Section 181 requirements.
To support these studies and assessments, J8 requires unique tools, models, and information technology expertise not available within existing Government resources.
Under this contract, MYMIC provides analytic, strategic, technical, managerial and administrative support to enhance the Joint Staff, J8 mission and total force readiness. In support of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), Team MYMIC conducts studies and assessments to ensure the CJCS receives and provides the best military advice on Departmental Force Structure and Resource issues. Additionally, unique information technology system development and support is required to document Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) planning and decisions to support the CJCS. Our team supports all aspects of technical support services in the areas of modeling, simulation and unique information technology support required to satisfy the assessments’ needs and support of the JROC. J8 requires unique tools, models and information technology not available within existing Government resources to support these studies and assessments.
In addition, our team provides the Joint Staff J8 with automation and streamlining of
the production of the Forces for Unified Command Assignment Tables and the Apportionment of Forces, as well as initiating work to automate the Allocation of Forces. Our team also perform various database administration and programming tasks to support the three overlapping phases of each model-based study:
- Data acquisition, manipulation, and validation of models input
- Provide technical expertise to manage, administer, maintain and update several aspects of the Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFM DI)
- Continue to develop and operate the Joint Org Server (JOS) program for the Joint community, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy (Services), and Intelligence Community (IC);
- Provide functional and technical support to further develop and implement JROC Knowledge Management Decision Support (KMDS)
- Modify, test and implement the Force Structure Screening Tool (FSST)
